Finding the Right Database for Your Research
DBIS helps you choose the right academic database for your research. The platform lists licensed and open-access databases from all academic disciplines.
The databases in DBIS are organized by subject area (DBIS Subject Overview). However, you can also search specifically by title, database type, or access options.
In databases, you’ll find a wide variety of scholarly literature: mainly articles from academic journals, but also statistics, books, data, conference papers, and much more.
Texts that you cannot download directly (i.e., those without full text) can usually be requested through interlibrary loan.
In every subject area, you’ll find top databases recommended by the HSB Weingarten.
Each database detail page contains general information, details about the licensed content, and the access link to the database.

You can only access the content on campus or from home if the database has been activated—that is, licensed—for your university (PHW or RWU).
