Interlibrary Loan

Not in stock? You can still order it!

Books and journal articles that are not available in our library collection can be requested from another library through the interlibrary loan service. Once they arrive (usually within 1–2 weeks), the requested items can be picked up at the service desk during service hours.

A processing fee of 1.50 euros is charged per item ordered. You will receive the so-called TAN for the order either at the service desk during service hours or via email at fernleihe@hs-weingarten.de. The fee will be charged to your library account.

Please note:
The 1.50 euros is a processing fee, not a success fee!

Exceptions

Many libraries exclude certain types of media from their interlibrary loan services. These items are then often harder to obtain—or impossible to obtain—through interlibrary loan.

This applies to:

  •    newly acquired books
  •    Books with a purchase price of less than 15.00 euros
  •    Fiction

The following are completely excluded from interlibrary loan:

  • e-books and e-journals
  • Loose-leaf collections
  • Magazine issues (only individual articles may be ordered)
  • Newspapers and newspaper articles
  • particularly old and valuable works

Please note: Books
ordered through interlibrary loan are available only during service hours!
