Your library account allows you to:

• view loan periods and renew them if necessary
• view existing holds and delete them if no longer needed
• check notifications and your current account balance
• change your email address

You can renew the loan period for borrowed items on your own through your library account. Renewals can only be made a few days before the due date. Please check afterward to make sure a new due date is displayed!

When renewals are not possible:

• If books have already been renewed 5 times
• If books have been reserved by other users

Books, CDs, DVDs: 30 days

Journal issues: 14 days

Items can be renewed up to 5 times, provided no other user has placed a hold on them. You can renew your loans yourself through your library account.
 

You’re welcome to store your jackets and bags in our lockers in the foyer of the Fruchtkasten. To use the lockers, students must validate their student ID. You’ll find the machine for this purpose on the wall next to the printer. Non-students need a locker card, which you can obtain at the counter during our service hours. 

Please note:
The lockers are not intended for overnight use. If a locker is not opened before the Fruchtkasten closes, it will lock automatically and cannot be reopened on your own the next day. In this case, please contact the staff at the service counter. A fee of 2.50 euros per day will be charged for unauthorized overnight use!
