"Reference collections" refer to those materials that are
excluded from regular circulation. The reference collections at the Weingarten University Library consist of:
 

• Loose-leaf collections
• Current journal issues
• books that are difficult to replace or particularly valuable, known as the “rare book collection”
• Semester collections

In thelibrary catalog (OPAC), you will find the complete online and print collection of the Weingarten University Library. This includes books, journals, academic theses, e-books, e-journals, databases, and open-access titles.

University of Education BASE: Bielefeld Academic Search Engine is one of the largest search engines specifically designed for academic documents freely available on the Internet under the Open Access model. 

DOAJ: Directory of Open Access Journals

OpenDOAR: The Directory of Open Access Repositories 

DOAB: The Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) lists freely accessible open-access monographs.

SSOAR: The Social Science Open Access Repository brings together quality-assured literature relevant to the social sciences.

OPUS-W is a digital publication archive of the PHW and RWU. All members of both universities have the opportunity to publish electronically created documents online. The following, among other items, can be published:

• Conference proceedings
• Articles
• Habilitation Theses
• Research Reports
